Packing List Generator
Pick the trip type and length. Get a checklist you can tick off and print.
Most packing lists are either too generic to be useful or so specific they only work for one trip. This one adapts: choose what kind of trip you are taking, how long for, and whether you need to carry it all yourself. Tick items off as you pack — the list saves in this browser.

Your list
The rule that beats any list
- 01Lay everything out, then remove a third of it. Almost everyone carries too much on their first trip.
- 02Pack for the coldest, wettest hour you expect — not for the average.
- 03Choose clothes that work in layers and can be worn two days running without washing.
- 04Keep one full change of clothes and your medication in your day pack, never in checked luggage.
- 05Write the list down after the trip. Your next one will be significantly better.
